easter

We took some pictures of Eva on Easter and a couple turned out adorable. We didn't do baskets because I'm cheap and wanted to get stuff 75 % off on Monday. So we'll do those this Sunday and pretend it's Easter.

Jared's Freaky Neck

Lots of you have been asking how Jared is, how big his scar is etc, so I thought I would post the before and after pictures of his freaky neck. He's feeling great and doing well, just still trying to get used to the meds. I'll keep you posted on when the 2nd surgery will be and all of that.

sleeping babies

i would just like to state that sleeping babies are BEAUTIFUL babies.

Eva has improved by leaps and bounds over the last month or so. She went from a baby that slept 3 hours at a stretch at night for a total of maybe 8 hours with zero naps during the day to sleeping from 7 at night until 7 in the morning with 4 1 hour naps during the day. its great! i'm regaining memory, finding time to get things done, basically i'm really enjoying it now! not that i didn't enjoy it before, i just have no recollection of anything that went on before.

Even if you don't agree with EVERYTHING he has to say, its a really good starting point on what your child needs as far as the amount and quality of sleep.

CONFUSED! and nerd news

so....

I don't know how people make their blogs all cute-sy. i'll have to get tips i guess. On to other things...

So for those of you who don't know...jared and i have officially become super nerds. we are certified ham radio operators. we even joined a ham club. YEAH. but i love it. the club is full of all these cute little old men who love eva and they even bring doughnuts! what's not to love?? i'd join any club if that criteria was met.

Random thoughts and such

So I've decided to maybe actually start blogging......possibly

an update on megan's baby shower....it went great! i was so nervous about having to run the show though that i completely forgot to take pictures!!! i'm kicking myself over that. but it was fun; there was a good turn out. we ate lots of food, played games, talked etc. We played like a text twist type of game where you try to make as many words as possible from the babys name, we also played a memory game where you had to remember a bunch of random baby stuff in a bag and my personal favorite game...the stinky diaper game where you pass around diapers filled with different stuff and have to guess what they are. one had horseradish in it, another carmel, garlic, a bunch of different weird things. it was fun! ok now i'm moving to my next post so it looks like i've been keeping up with this.
